The Dive Monkey Club itself doesn't offer training but we do have plenty of Instructors as members who can teach a whole range of courses right up to Instructor level!

DM Scuba also have Instructors and an in-house Instructor Trainer in the Emergency First Response (EFR) First Aid courses where we can teach right up to Instructor level.  We can also teach the Divers Alert Network (DAN) Oxygen and Advanced Oxygen administration courses

All courses can be run for just one person (or up to four people, our maximum) there are always minimally two professional divers in the water at any one time, regardless of the number of students. We keep our numbers low so you get the best possible training.

Open Water courses are only ever taught "One on One" in Open Water.

 - Some Information on just a few of the courses available -

 

 PAD Open Water Course - Entry Level Scuba Diving certification. Your first step into the underwater world. Various options available from a referral (which means you do the classroom and Pool Sessions in the UK and then when you're on holiday finish off your Open Water dives) or the complete full course here in the UK. The choice is yours!

Our Open Water courses are only ever taught "one-on-one" in Open Water.

 

 PADI Advanced Open Water - The next stage in your underwater evolution.  Five adventure dives which will include Deep and Navigation plus three others extending your depth limit to 30m and giving you those all important extra skills and experience.

Do this in the UK! Especially if you've learnt abroad. This will help you gain valuable UK diving experience.

 

 PADI Rescue Diver - The course that extends your diving skills so you have the confidence to help out  in the event of an emergency.  Know how to look after yourself and your buddy.  This course is packaged with the EFR First Aid course and the PADI Oxygen Administration Specialties for a massively reduced rate.

Ideally the minimum qualification that every diver should be.

 

 PADI Enriched Air Diver - One of 16 Specialty course we can teach you.  Learn how enriched air (Nitrox) can extend your bottom time.  This course is now a theory session and can be completed with a small amount of theory in the comfort of your own home.

 

 PADI Boat Diver - Learn the correct way to dive from a boat and understand more about boats themselves! A good fun course to do!  Two dives out of Portland harbour in Dorset.

 

 PADI Deep Diver - Looking for Mermaids and Nazi gold.... You'll need to extend your recreational diving depth to the maximum limit of 40m!  A great way to extend your depth limits safely and under instruction.

 

 PADI Night Diver - A great way to see the wildlife is at night, grab a torch and join us for a night dive specialty course.

 

 PADI Wreck Diver - The UK is littered with thousands of wrecks from shipping disasters and two world wars.  Learn how to dive on them safely.  Where there's a wreck, there are fish!  This course normally extends over a weekend.

 

 PADI Dive Master - The first level in the PADI professional course structure.  Extend your diving knowledge and skills to the professional level, take that first step to becoming a SCUBA Instructor or gain this level to give you the skills to manage, guide and look after other divers.

 

 PADI DSAT TEC 40 - Thinking of extending your time at depth? Want to put it a bit of decompression? Then the PADI TEC 40 course is for you!  Learn how safely complete up to 10 minutes of deco using up to 50% 02.
