We cater for divers of all ages – including the youngsters!
From the age of 8 upwards, DM Scuba are able to offer diving experiences to suit budding mermen and mermaids. We're able to offer full PADI Open Water diving courses to children from the age of 12, subject to kit sizes and the instructor’s discretion.
These can be combined with adult courses if required, allowing the whole family to learn to dive together!
Bubblemaker / Seal Team - If your child is 8 years old or over and able to swim, we can give them the chance to complete a PADI Bubblemaker course in our swimming pool. This course, designed especially for children, will allow them to safely experience the thrill of scuba diving for the first time. Under direct guidance from our experienced instructors, they’ll learn to use the equipment and breathe underwater. At the end of the session, they’ll get a special certificate to commemorate their achievement.
PADI Junior Open Water Course - PADI courses can be specially structured to cater for the needs of adolescents who would like to learn to dive. We are able to provide courses for children from the age of 12. These courses follow the same guidelines as adult training, but are intended to provide stricter rules for the diver. The qualifications are automatically upgraded once the child turns 15, with no need to retake the course. We're also able to combine these courses with our adult training programme, allowing us to train the whole family together, with a dedicated instructor if required!
